Illinois Safe-T Act

Starting July 1, 2021, Illinois will no longer suspend a license for any ticket debt, fines, or fees. This change includes suspension and holds due to: parking tickets, vehicle compliance tickets, red-light camera tickets, automatic speed camera tickets, traffic tickets, and abandoned vehicle fees.

HB2748 and HB2433 Passed!

I am excited to announce that my bills: HB2748 and HB2433 passed on the House Floor last week! Both bills will help to further support and protect vulnerable populations in our community. HB2748 allows for an additional year of in-person learning for students with developmental disabilities, and their families, who have "aged-out" of their schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
