Scholarships Available to Graduating Elgin High School Seniors

Need Money for School?

The Elgin Area Chamber (EAC) and Elgin Development Group (EDG) know how important it is that local high school students gain the skills to be our community’s leaders of tomorrow. We are pleased to invite graduating high school seniors who are seeking additional education to further their careers to apply for a $1,000 scholarship.

The Elgin Area Chamber and its economic development program, Elgin Development Group, are offering five, $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors pursuing further education. EAC believes that leadership, community service, and the pursuit of higher education should be appropriately recognized and rewarded with this new scholarship program.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us to support present and future business leaders in our communities of Elgin and South Elgin,” said Carol Gieske, President and CEO of the Elgin Area Chamber. “Whether a student is pursuing further education through certificate, license, two-year or four-year trade, technical school, or university, we want to support their pathway to success.”

Available to high school seniors that reside in Elgin or South Elgin, the scholarship criteria are based on the applicant’s scholastic achievement, interest in continuing education and career goals, participation and leadership in school and community activities.
