Yesterday was a proud moment for me. I was the first Chief co-sponsor on this bill. It creates more fairness and equity for students with disabilities and their families. This bill would allow our young people with disabilities to stay in high school until the end of the school year instead of ending high school, full stop, on their 22nd birthday. I was holding the Vaughn Occupational high school community in my heart and mind during the hearing.
Thank you Hannah Louise and Natalie Rimer for making me aware of this issue. You’re both incredible advocates! I thought of both of you today Keep fighting the good fight!
