District Internship Opportunity

Illinois State Representative Suzanne Ness is seeking community-oriented, responsible, and hard-working interns for her District Office located in Carpentersville, IL. The District Interns should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with a small team, be comfortable speaking over the phone and attending events, and be passionate about public service. Candidates with ties to District 66 are preferred, but not required.

Intern Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Answering Constituent Phone Calls
• Co-managing Office Inbox
• Assisting the District Director with Constituent Casework
• Attending Community Events on behalf of or alongside Representative Ness/Staff
• Planning in-district programming and events
• Data Entry and Tracking
• Constituent Door-Knocking
• Writing Press Releases
• Assisting with social media and marketing
• Attending Briefings or Virtual Events
• Legislative Research

Qualifications:
• Currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or vocational program or be a recent college graduate
• Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
